About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher with a PhD in Sociology of Education from Uppsala University. Currently, I hold positions at both the Swedish School of Library and Information Science at Borås University College and the Department of Education at Uppsala University. My research interests include the sociology of power, culture, education, and science. I investigate how educational institutions, cultural practices, and the ways we produce knowledge determine (and are in turn determined by) who holds power and how opportunities are distributed in society.

I am actively involved in three major projects:

  • ENSURE: Evaluating the quality and societal impact of energy systems research in collaboration with Halmstad University.
  • HUMINFRA: Enhancing infrastructures for research in the humanities.
  • RURALITIC: Investigating the socio-demographic transformations of rural areas in light of ecological, digital, and bio-economic transitions.

I am passionate about free and open-source software as well as open knowledge more broadly. The intersection of technology and academia is a key interest of mine that I plan to explore in more detail in the near future.

Outside of work, I like to tinker with GNU/Linux on computers and server. I also enjoy tabletop RPGs and exploring the outdoors on a mountain or a gravel bike.
